Improve the FileSystem inheritance hierarchy. By repurposing AbstractFileSystem as DiskBackedFileSystem, to be extended only by disk-backed subclasses. This encourages other subclasses to make an explicit decision on how to open files instead of inheriting a potentially incorrect implementation.
